Tell us a little about yourself!
Aby is a senior at Grove City College studying entrepreneurship and marketing. From a young age, she knew she wanted to change the world through business and events when she began having summer fundraisers for different causes at the age of 8. Aby hopes to use her passion for entrepreneurship to help marginalized people groups who have had their sense of humanity wrongfully taken from them. Until then, she will use her creativity and drive to create beautiful tees and hats for young women.
Tell us about your company and how you got started!
Onstitch is a minimalist embroidered clothing company. It began as a solution to a lost internship during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a rise to a challenge posed by one of my professors to see how far I could take it in 13 weeks. The business is being used for a case study and a basis for flipped classroom lectures for the E-Commerce class at Grove City College.
What advice do you have for other aspiring entrepreneurs?
My biggest piece of advice for aspiring entrepreneurs is to just do it. I used to become caught up in the mission and the way that I can change the world. But it doesn’t always have to be about that. Onstitch is teaching me how to run a business. I don’t think that I will be with Onstitch for an extended period of time, but I am learning skills that will help me on a larger scale in the future. If you feel like you have an idea, no matter how small, just do it! You never know what could happen!
